Deokman (later known as Queen Seondeok) was born as a twin but was abandoned as a baby because of a prophesy that said twins will end the male line. She was later brought back to the Silla palace, where she joined forces with her twin sister Princess Chongmyeng to oppose Lady Misil, who wanted to seize power. Misil devised sinister plans to have the two Silla princesses killed, and in a secretive battle to kill Deokman, Princess Chongmyong was assassinated by Misil's men.
However, Princess Deokman shrewdly enlisted the help of General Kim Yusin, Hwarang Alchun, and the haters of Misil and eliminated her archenemy Misil after a long string of battles. She became the first female ruler of the Silla kingdom.
